Types of Circular Saw Blades

There are number of circular saw blades made available for you depending on applications and materials you are using for your projects. For an instance, when working with hardwood or plywood it is good to have a Carbide-Tipped Saw Blade. It lasts much longer than any regular blade. Combination blade, another circular blade used usually in cross cutting, mitering and ripping hardwood, veneer, softwood, and plywood but a smooth finish is not done by this type. For cutting ferrous metals, ceramic tiles, masonry and glazed materials, the Abrasive Cut-Off Wheel is the one for the job. The blade to be utilized should match the type of material intended to cut and this wheel go with blades, which guard is either made of magnesium or aluminum. The diamond blade is used to cut porcelain or quarry tiles, marbles, slate, granite stones, and limestone. It has steel circular disc with diamond shaped bearing edge. It can have either a segmented or continuous or turbo rim configuration. There is also a blade specific to plywood aside from the Carbide-Tipped, simply called the plywood blade. Its small teeth are designed to counter splintering and plywood glue abrasions. The carbon steel Saber saw blade is a high-speed saw blade that goes for metals, plastics, fiber glass and other wooden materials. Another saw blade, the Reciprocating saw blade is another carbon steel saw blade that is used to cut plastics and soft woods. These should not be used on materials that have nails on it.
